The purpose of this installation was to move from top to bottom through the human body, capturing the most textured and sculpted places along the way. From the collar bone to the bottom of the foot, the wrinkles make my skin crawl. In some instances the human body can be the most comforting place. Feeling the arms of someone you love tighten around you, a mom bonding skin to skin with her new born, or even playing patty cake with your best friend. So why is it that society is so uncomfortable with our bodies (unless its photoshopped, smoothed, retouched, and perfected)? Showing the uncomfortable, rigid parts of the body feels natural.
